EMPIRE

EMPIRE, I thought I should take a look at FOX TV's EMPIRE.

 Surprisingly the TV Program is a Live Music Production a lot of the time and I should have known that Jussie Smollett was still starring in the episode I saw  of Empire. A role to die for in many ways, Jussie speaks reason and temperance in his mellifluous baritone tones and he has three or more live music performances.

There was a really quirky and incredibly original dance performance on Fox TV Empire at a ballet school. Watch him dance and marvel at the ballet  students' apparel, I could not find the video separately to post it, it is well worth viewing.

                                

The music videos are spectacular visually and some dance segments are just fantastic in my opinion. The musical production and the vocals did not impress me. The costuming of video artists and cast members is really something.

                                                                                                                                     

Likely the lifestyles and the clothing of the Empire cast are being held up to scrutiny by the writers and actors, but I have not seen enough of Empire to know. The lack of Ethics, Immorality and Fakery are challenged and the Past Criminal Activity of Characters in Empire are not approved of presently.

Jussie Smollett has perhaps gotten carried away by what goes on even in the two thirds of one Episode of Empire I viewed. Numerous Felonies are committed within a few minutes as Lucius Lyon, head of the Record Label and the Family coerces the signature which absolves him of responsibility for an Internet Defaming Project by hanging the prospective signatory out the window up a number of stories above the pavement until he signed.

Do you wonder where Jussie might have gotten the idea to Fake an Attack?

Did the Ethnic Nigerian US born "Attackers" know what they signed up to do?

POSTSCRIPT:              The Dead have lost so much and they cannot be consoled.The Injured may never be the same physically. Everyone present at the Christchurch New Zeeland Mosque massacres has a good chance of not ever feeling the same again. The Mosque congregation and people close to  them  may not be carefree and unworried ever again. It is ironic that I posted EMPIRE because of a faked attack. I am sorry for all of the unfortunate people who are suffering and who will suffer because of  a senseless armed attack.

Attacks, even the fake virtual attacking done in video games, are a negative influence in our world and they should be consigned to the past like so many Stone Age Human cultural and social actions. When people are privately going about their business or cultural activities they should not be attacked.  In the case of all attacks, only harm is accomplished. If the attacker makes off with a bone or a gold chalice or an inheritance or a house, which benefit the Attacker, still much more harm than that benefit is done to the Attacked. Vandals gain nothing, they want to do damage.The fake 911 Attacker prize is to get the resident or owner of a property or business SHOT or DRAGGED OFF by the POLICE. The consolation prize is the lack of relaxation of the target at home.

The personality of a person I have known for decades changed to Attacker. He had always sneered at accomplishment and hard work but the One Hundred Per Cent attack  against everything that pops up is learned in VideoGameLand.

I do not seek to offend or minimise the loss and grief, my Cartoon Caricature had to bring up the fact that the Villain and Attacker is the ultimate good boy white guy, the Australian. 

This is not Lindon, this is Lindon fake computer simulacrum.

There has been an Attack in New Zeeland on Mosque Worshipers by an Australian Terrorist and I do think the authorities should have known to watch those Australians. While they resent a Good Time Charlie image to the world do not forget, to paraphrase Trump: These were not their best people the British sent to Australia.They were rapists, murderers and some good people. The United Kingdom emptied its Jails, Gutters and Insane Asylums and transported the inhabitants to Australia. What could you expect from Australians, it had to happen. Extreme Australian Vetting and Monitoring and perhaps even secret Roundups of Australians. Is this an International Emergency? How much fear should we feel? Is it just the Australian Men we should fear? Are we safe from  Australian Women? 

EXTREME VETTING

THIS IS AN ALL BLOG POST FROM MARIJUANA CRITIC but first here is a scene from my personal Live Rock History. 

In 1992 I was at the same performance level as I was in 1980 when I was ready to return regularly to Vancouver BC and get my careers going. Instead in June 1980 the house and all my everything was burned by Crazy Palfry and the spiral of degeneration of finances and reputation and mobility continued until 1990. I got my Harmonica and dance happening again and performed live in London England in 1992. Then in 1993 I was to be visited by my youngest child Louis at my Otter Point home. There was I believe nothing much wrong with my neck and my back as I danced for an hour daily and practiced harmonica and keyboard and guitar for many hours as well.

 I HEARD THE CAR IN THE DRIVE WAY AND I EXPECTED LOUIS TO RUN UP TO THE DOOR ALONE. INSTEAD WHEN I OPENED THE WINDOWLESS EAST DOOR, BENDING OVER TO GREET MY YOUNGEST SON, MY EX-WIFE LUNGED AT ME SCRATCHING AT MY FACE. I THOUGHT THIS CAUSED ME TO FALL OVER EMPTY POP BOTTLES FOR THE RECYCLING PICKUP. 

THAT WAS PROBABLY NOT WHAT IT WAS. I NOW KNOW THAT I HAD A TONIC IMMOBILITY OR COLLAPSE IMMOBILITY MEDICAL EVENT. MY EX WIFE SCREAMED AT ME "Your girlfriend is a Coker and you were seen running with huge bags of Cocaine from the scene of an accident!" 

THAT WAS IT, I DID NOT EVER DANCE LIVE ROCK AGAIN. YEARS LATER A REALIZATION OF WHEN AND WHAT HAPPENED WAS DEDUCED. I DID A FEW MOMENTS OF DANCE FOR MY VIDEOS BUT NOT LIVE.

EXTREME VETTING

 Extreme and Extensive Vetting for Marijuana sales shops and Dispensary Owners and other employees. I heard about this practice just recently and that the RCMP even wanted information on associates and family members. I think the Marijuana is planned to come prepackaged and there is to be a 7 % profit margin. I wonder what an owner or employee might be able to do.

Then I thought of other situations where large amounts of money could be taken or large losses could result due to the actions of Persons who should probably have to be Vetted before they were allowed to proceed with the course of action which they were pursuing. What comes to mind is the overwhelming loss of control I experienced when my wife "had to have a divorce, had to get away from me." I had operated and sold a business, and bought land and finished the first house, it was burnt down and Wife and Kids and  I lost everything, but for the land and enough insurance money to pay the mortgage off and build a modest home on the existing foundation.  That is what I set out to do.

Married only two years, my wife threatened me that if I did not finance a two thousand square foot home and she wanted a contractor to build it, she would divorce me and I would lose all my assets to legal fees. She took AND BOTCHED CONTROL. Then she took control again after I remedied some of the botch, much never remediable. She lost everything, from owing nothing to owning nothing but debt more than the property was worth. I inherited enough to be only Twenty One Thousand in debt and she struck again with ``Sign over all of your assets or I will say you abused me``, and a bunch of other nonsense detailed elsewhere.

Should there not be Extreme Vetting of Divorcing Wives and what about Vetting Fake 911 Callers, instead of Pot Sellers.

POLICE DID NOT VET ME, WITH MY AAA INDUSTRIAL BNS CREDIT RATING AND MY AUDITED BUSINESS AND MY LETTERS OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RUNNING A BENEFICIAL TRAINING COURSE AT ADVANCED METHOD JEWELLERY MANUFACTURING.

IN SOOKE BC THE RCMP KEEPS A RECORD OF COMPLAINTS, GOSSIP AND ALLEGATIONS WHICH COULD NOT BE VERIFIED.    THAT IS HOW OPINIONS  IN SOOKE BY-LAW AND POLICE AND AUTHORITIES ARE FORMED AND WIDELY COMMUNICATED.

Repeatedly I have been powerless as really crazy schemes and claims have been deferred to by Government or Police while I the worker or owner have been subjected to absurdly declared defamation. What does the Divorcing Wife who has not been harmed but supported and helped by her husband say about him. I am going to make life as difficult as possible for you my ex-wife hissed, the Police are turned on to you, I told them....

                               

                                      

TRANSCENDENTAL IMMERSION

TRANSCENDENTAL, YES THE EXPERIENCE OF MUSICAL PARTICIPATION IS TRANSCENDENTAL.

A lot of the use and connotations of the term " Transcendental " are colloquial.

The term refers to entry into a different realm than the ordinary everyday of meals and work and getting around. Yet there are meals and work and transport which are extraordinary and the cook or the worker or the driver are changed and empowered and experience a different emotion than the ordinary.

From the very first musical participation, as distinct from closing your eyes and listening and feeling sensations and emotions and thrills sometimes, participation is more connected to everything that listeners experience while they are enjoying music. Dancing is a near to a participatory musical experience where the ordinary is once again superseded by the different reality presented by the music, the lyrics and the overall performance presented by the musician.

                                I KEPT MY DAY JOB

Keep your day job was the universal advice to aspiring musical performers in the 1960's when I first began to play Harmonica and Guitar. I did and if it were not for my being struck down in two motor vehicle accidents I would never have given up the job where I led my crew switching and transferring freight, working on the Queen's Railway, Railway Train Movement is Transcendental.

I WOULD GET OFF WORK, WHICH WAS FOUR PM TO NINE PM IN DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER  BC. PERFECT.

After the second accident I was reduced to playing harmonica laying on my back when I could manage to get a musician or musicians to come to my home,the only place I am capable of being. THIS EVOLVED INTO THE SUNDAY SPACE JAM.

A couple of carloads of musicians and equipment would arrive in the last years of the Space Jam at the Gigantic wood paneled Burr House. I could open sliding panels and have a one thousand square foot space with a wood atrium rising thirty feet and Twelve foot high ceilings everywhere. It was exciting to Extemporize on original themes or pieces of music. The Jammers, were mostly band members some then and some later, what many people would call professional musicians. I made sure we had electricity, herb tea and marijuana, which is what might have put the Space in the Space Jam. Very Cool, Transcendental.

Only lately did I realize that my musical adventures may have cost me dearly at the hands of Philistine Boors. Back to 1970.

I had signed up for " Out of work insurance ", Afflec or whatever still advertised on TV. I did not receive my company deducted for benefits. 

The Union Men, my shop Stewards, representatives paid for by dues, said "We are going to sit this one out.'' Previously one of the Union Executives sai9d to me " you must be s King among thr Hippies with Money and that Motorcycle. "

I replied " I am a new Harmonics player, I am not of any status, the guys I play with are in or were in bands, some had even owned venues and clubs."

The pimply runty Queer, the Clerk in the CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAYS EMPLOYEE RELATIONS OFFICE  told me he had 'Thrown all my paperwork in the garbage"( Test Scores, Performance reviews, my insurance policy ). He was throwing me onto the street and I did not ever return to the employment where my Grandfather, my Father and MOST of my uncles worked. The weak Homosexual Sodomite no doubt, if he were me six foot two, one hundred ninety five pounds and handsome and play musical instruments he would be a Sodomist instead of a cocksucker  and an asshole for Pederasts.

THE PUKES ALWAYS TRY TO DESTROY WHAT THEY CANNOT BE.

Everyone knew that I had done my day job, built the house my ex-wife wanted for her and the children she had to have and in addition I had done all of the work to be a practiced performing Harmonicist. My brother made comments like: " He is good but not as good as he thinks he is. Who wants their brother prancing around on stage playing Harmonica. You have too much Hubris he told me, the Gods will punish you. I have never seen someone so self involved. " 

My ex-wife, down to the Police Station for help with woman's issues, "My husband is Crazy, he thinks he is going to be a Rock Star ". The goddamn Pepsi's at the Sooke RCMP are fully in belief, " Could your husband be dangerous?''. Of course she said " YES!"

My brother is entirely under the influence of Pepsi too, Wife Francine is a Franco Fascist Militant. When he is asked if I could be violent,he knows I am crippled, fragile, unable to handle confrontation, my back goes out, he says 

" I COULD NOT SAY THAT LINDON COULD NOT NOT BE VIOLENT. "

My mother said that if she heard I had told anyone of my musical endeavors she would disinherit me of my father's money. I don't want to hear about any of this until you have a big check to show me she said.

If the neighbors hear you practicing, they call 911 POLICE!

I  have seen neighbors sneaking on to my property or property I rented, to hear if I was practicing because with a hundred feet distance and trees, you cannot hear me practicing here at Otter Point without coming on to the property. 

ALL THIS VIOLENCE IS BASED ON LIES. POLICE RAIDS ARE VIOLENT AND TECHNICALLY ASSAULT.  THE CRIMINAL CODE OF CANADA CANADA STATES THAT  ALL USE OF MORE PEOPLE THAN NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH A REQUIRED TASK IS CRIMINALLLY INDICTABLE. What about the unrequired fake tasks?

The Transcendental musical participatory experience musicians and composers and performers achieve is the musician's realm and property. It is not yours to trifle with or destroy Boors. The other really cool thing for musicians which the Boors really HATE is that success will bring great wealth and adulation. 

TOO BAD THERE IS NOT A HELL FOR THE EVIL DESTROYERS AND DOWNGRADERS . THE CLOSEST THING TO HELL FOR THEM ON EARTH IS TO GET JUDGEMENT AGAINST THEM FOR LOSS OF CAREER.

I like the idea that malicious behavior causing loss can be assessed individually and severally without diminishment by apportionment. Everyone involved pays the full amount of the loss, and even the judgement against others could be assessed against the " Malicious " if they had the money and the others did not. That will not happen in my case as I apply to BCSC  for judgement: FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS FOR LOSS OF CAREER AS A MUSICIAN, COMPOSER, AND PERFORMER. EACH, GOT IT, EACH.  Then the group of Pukes can have the Hell on Earth of Broke which I suffered for decades when I would have kept my day job.

Freddy Mercury and Queen and other unsettling Giants Michael Jackson and R. Kelly

             LIVE ROCK CRITIC MARCH 3rd 2019

There is a new motion picture being released about " Queen ", Freddy Mercury and the band.

I thought Queen was an incredible Rock Band. The band hit all of the flippers in the Pinball Machine of Rock and Roll with the multiplicity of styles and arrangements and Classical allusion.

I did not know who Freddy Mercury was nor has I the slightest inkling of what he or his fellow band members did. I was going to London England in 1992, Mrs. Pearson was required to have an "attendant" as she was in a wheelchair. She was to visit relatives and I brought my 42 Hohner Diatonic Harmonicas along, which I performed with as  planned to try to get popular or known as a Harmonicacist and song writer.

Just before I left for England, Leonard chastised me, he said " All of those English musicians are a bunch of Queers ". "What" I said shocked "Where did you hear this?" I am pretty sure I knew nothing about what the damage was that was done by Mr.Mercury. I know now that Freddy had aids and look it up if you are able to bear such information, did he knowingly not prevent infecting other persons he had sexual relations with? That would be very bad.

Tonight and Monday, the alleged sexual predations of Michael Jackson, the fabulous dancer and singer and performer, will air in a four hour long documentary on the HBO Cable Network. There is talk of Jackson grooming young boys to accept painful anal sex. I had thought, he blew them and they may have liked it, but when this Painful Anal Sex allegation comes up, that is too much. Too many twisted perversions acted out at once and victims "painful".

I have not knowingly heard, listened to or enjoyed R. Kelly's music. I have no idea who R.Kelly is. Luring young girls to have sex is one thing but sodomizing and urinating on and humiliating these girls is once again, if the allegations are true, too much to bear. What in the name of damnation was R. Kelly thinking? 

I have ever since I heard that anal sex was practiced, once again Leonard who really enjoyed finding out something that would shock and revolt me, told me about the practice of anal sex by homosexual males during the early eighties. I have always wondered what the sodomite got out of being sodomized. There are aspects of all of the practice and practicioners which are unsettling.

I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO I KNOW HAS A REPUGNANCE TOWARDS SODOMIZATION. I HAD A GIRLFRIEND WHO HAD BEEN OMNIBUS HETEROSEXUALLY ACTIVE FROM AGE FOURTEEN TO AGE THIRTY TWO WHEN I MET HER AND WHAT SHE SAID WAS " Do anything you want to me but not up the ass ". Her buttocks convulsed and locked and I lost my motivation momentarily shocked that Men did this to sweet looking Young Women who had to produce ID at Thirty Three.

AUTHORITARIANISM KILLS OPPORTUNITY AND LIFE ITSELF

In conversation recently with a persistent critic of my policies, endeavours and actions, I was told that I was constantly trying to get a social club type business going, in a critical way. It has ended up just like that. Pretty well crippled most of the time, I would like to have a place to hang out and work, maybe even play some music. Might get to smoke Hash or, I do make Lebanese Style Hash, it would be fun to perform with the Starharvester and the heated press. In any case, I am still hoping to put in twelve thousand square feet of something under the building, as street level is two stories below the majority of the land when a building replaces the three little old houses I own in Victoria BC on Hillside Avenue where it is zoned for condos and commercial development.

I NOW REALIZE HOW CLOSE I CAME AT THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN. MY GRANDFATHER CHARLES VINCENT COLLARD HAD BEQUESTED ME $10,000, JANUARY 1964. 

THE OLD AIR FORCE OFFICERS CLUB WAS FOR SALE. IT HAD A DANCE HALL, A LOUNGE, A DINING ROOM, A COMMERCIAL KITCHEN AND IN MY UNIVERSITY TOWN FREDERICTON NB, ELEVEN SLEEPING ROOMS. 

MANY SUCCESSFUL MUSICIANS STARTED THEIR WORKING CAREERS AS MUSICIANS JUST LIKE THAT. THERE WAS THE FAILSAFE, SLEEPING AND DINING, TO PAY THE BILLS IF THE VENUE DID NOT EARN MUCH.

 

MY MOTHER SAID THAT I WAS UNDER HER AUTHORITY AND SEIZED MY PATERNAL GRANDDAD'S  BEQUEST TO ME AND GAVE ME NOT ONE CENT. 

I was attending University of New Brunswick and I literally starved that following spring as I did not live in Residence that year. The next year I refused to cooperate when I was told to help things run smoothly with the Knightly Herald Newspaper I edited, not the main student paper, a student's voice rag where I printed or wrote whatever was on student's minds. I told Colin B. McKay the University President without swearing that I would not be censored.  I was thrown out of UNB,and  my transcripts were stamped "NOT RE- ADMISSIBLE" which I would find out in August 1965.

 I arrived at my CNR job in May of 1965 at System Headquarters in Montreal Quebec where I was to be an assistant in the Engineering Offices and was told I had changed courses and was not wanted anymore. I was given a punishment job I think, I loaded box cars with freight right into outdoors in the Montreal winter. Mother had stolen my money or I would have been warm and cosy still in Fredericton NB running my Inn and in school or not, I would be there at a centre for art music and discussion not outside loading freight into boxcars at -20*. 

I quit the Bonaventure Freight Terminal in February of 1966 and I took the train to British Columbia. I went to the offices of the Northern Construction Division of KBR BRJ Halliburton and I was hired as a Recording Technician. We laid out work and made sure quality standards were met so as not to cause IPEC owner inspectors to find flaws. Mica Creek Dam is now Peace Power and the electricity in British Columbia mostly comes from the project I worked at.

{ Assisting in the Engineering Department was what I was supposed do at the Canadian National Railway System Headsquarters in Montreal but Authoritarianism ruled and punished and a highly trained man was demoted to labourer. I think only desperate uneducated men had to work there at that freight loading job where you freeze in winter in Montreal Quebec.}

 

I ENDED UP DOING A LOT OF WHATEVER THE CHIEF ENGINEER,  I THINK, JOHN ABERCROMBIE, NEEDED DONE. Most importantly, I mapped the Powerhouse roof and rock bolt system with torques no less. This was done from a Giraffe (on a rock shelf) at up to 180 foot heights above the Powerhouse floor. I produced an 8 foot long map. I knew underwater grouting and rock bolt installation and survey and map making. The chief engineer said to me: 

"I THINK YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON BESIDES MYSELF WHO KNOWS WHAT WE ARE BUILDING". That was the largest earthfill dam in the World at the time, complete with spillways, penstocks and powerhouse. 

There was a 50 Million Dollar lawsuit where my reports lined the cases in the hallway at the Supreme Court in Vancouver BC and in the Peasant Prejudice made real of the courtroom it was said that day when I was there with an insurance claim, that I was "accident prone". The CNR was getting rid of me. I was a passenger in the automobile accident I was claiming for. Tunnel and Rock work is the most dangerous occupation there is.The evidence that I did it was right there at BCSC.  I am outraged to this day to have a bunch of stupid old men give me nothing for losing my Industrial career in an accident in 1970. I got only about 25% of my loss of wages. I guess "accident prone" would attract  accidents like tractor beams in Star Trek. That makes any accidents fraudulently my fault as "accident prone".

I would have preferred to be running the Inn in Fredericton.    I ended up freezing and working hard, even working at the Jewellery Factory, hard dirty work, the CNR was better, but the Inn would have been Luxury with accommodation for me right where I worked, and meals not cooked by only me for forty years and a Social Club and discourse with intelligent persons. 

Authority is poisonous to Art to Music to Social life, always seizing property, setting absurd rules and pretend violations, with people even exaggerating about the sounds in the air. The problem is the disposition of anyone in control to shut it down on Art, Music and Social Life. You might wonder how my mother seized my inheritance which would have bought me the desired business I was never able to achieve: Mother kept all of my mail even when I was forty years old, I had no documentation. My inheritance notices went to the family address. Mother would say I had no address (great, what homeless, crashing?) when I did and she and my brother Andrew and sister Joanne  kept my mail, some of it for Thirty Five years, until after Mother died.

I have endured  a lifetime of Authoritarian abuse, continuing to this day with abdictation and ignorance and continuing attempts to seize property or money by creating imaginary offences with real fines and raids on my home and business characterising and being the whole of my relationship with Authority which too many people think they hold over me. STILL, IT IS PROBABLY THE THEFT OF MY PATERNAL GRANDFATHER'S BEQUEST TO ME AT EIGHTEEN THAT CUT ME OUT OF BUSINESS THEN THAT DID THE MOST DAMAGE. MY MOTHER PUT MY $10,000. IN A BANK ACCOUNT WHERE IT REMAINED UNTIL MOTHER DIED IN 2000. 

Miley Cyrus and Who The Hell is Mark Ronson

I am critical, perhaps even hyper-critical but this is about musical performance.

My criticism is not like making calls to Police or By-Law or defaming a person to aid an insurance company to deny claim. Calling another person unworthy or degenerate or perverted or insane is bad medicine, dangerous to the target of discrediting accusations. The more The Authorities are involved the worse it is.

I criticize a lack of perfection where that is possible in musical performance. There is often a gross lack of perfection, then what else could I do but to try to mock the posturings of greatness presented with mediocre chops.

Mark Ronson, I do not get it at all. There have been many situations where the other headlining was a significant other. I  thought as I viewed and listened: perhaps Ronson is responsible for writing, putting the band together and directing the performance. So what, even if all that were true, so what? The gut string guitar Ronson performs with on " Nothing Breaks like a Heart " is hardly audible and when it is louder is really basic. A million people like it but I am unimpressed.

  Miley's outfit: Her pants have that low hanging crotch fault that old time 1950's jeans had. I remember shopping and trying on jeans to avoid the unsightly and possibly dangerously leg grabbing low crotch.                                                      

Miley Cyrus is not awe inspiring, the expressionless recitation seems rushed and I do not find her vocal performance to be dynamic enough to furnish a lead to all that schmaltzy background music.

               THIS IS CHRISTMAS (WAR IS OVER) 

Lame again, lame Christmas song, lame recitation of lyrics, lame Ronson guitar.

On CNN, some weird Yo-Ho Republican wished Chris Cuomo a Merry Christmas to which Cuomo did not reply. On the web, a lot of talk about a Feminist Santa Baby and Miley's lack of a brassire. Playing Christmas songs and showing your tits are signs of a fading career as is the taking refuge with Mark Ronson in Schmaltz. Mark Ronson is carrying a red and white Gibson 335, one of the greatest guitars of all time, I should get my Gibson ES 347 a big black sister to the 335 out, in any case the 335 Series Gibsons are CAPABLE OF MAKING INCREDIBLE SOUNDS and I cannot for the life of me figure out why Ronson does none of that, possibly a Schmaltz Convention.

The second musical showcase number was so bloody conventional. Christmas songs are passe are they not and the droning dirge of the Middle Ages as well. To call what was performed a Jam is absurd, probably neither of the bass nor the 335 guys could Jam. Ronson's guitar is virtually inaudible as is the guitar Lennon plays. What a missed opportunity guys in the grip of Quiet Schmaltz.

I thought, I will look for a super lame picture of the lame Christmas song and the picture in particular of the Poseur in the Homo Erotic outfit and it is Sean Lennon! His performance as well was so Fairy affected. I am an awful person to be so critical, I really do feel bad about all of this, especially I am feeling bad about the lack of great innovative fresh transporting music.

I almost forgot that Ghoul Guy who was going to kill himself on YouTube or something like that, formerly engaged to Aria Grande, possibly she is a ghoul fancier, the purple lips greyveyard hair and googly eyes ghoul guy introduced the X-MAS number it says on YouTube. If ghoul guy crawled out of the grave X-mass of dirt would have to be lifted probably a Ton. It is called Christmas! Not Xmas.

  LIVE ROCK CRITIC 2018    "BREAK HIS FINGERS"

Foreword November 26 : "Now young men play video games".

I would contrast those of us who when we were young men strived to become musicians and composers. We were not "Cooperating and Interacting"  pretending to kill everything in sight on a video screen we tried to set our thoughts to music with lyrics and new compositions. I attended hundreds of practice and writing sessions and sessions where the object was to create cool new tones. I think that we were better prepared by this experience to possess intellect and creativity than by learning to be ruthless devious and really fast to push buttons and keys in "First Person Shooter" video games. I just remembered that under eight boys all had six shooter toy pistols when I was a child. We also went out and into the fields and orchards when I was twelve in New Brunswick where we had a number of War First Person Shooter games including, in season, stick launched apples from the Orchards and snowballs in the winter. One hit and you were out.

That is a line from my song "Delusions of Grandeur" which portrays the bad attitude which the ignorant and un-creative have towards music composition.

I have written extensively about the disregard which has been demonstrated towards my music composition and performance. From neighbours trying to get the Police to break up music sessions in the 1960's til now pretending that music was a noise nuisance  or bad people were involved in music or there was an opportunity for a Drug Bust! 

Every acquaintance and family member knew that music was what I practised and created and poured a huge effort into. The hard work and accomplishment would be totally disregarded as Family members ripped off my inheritances and set up situations where I would not be able to continue to devote as much of my time and effort to music as all other things.  Particularly, my ex-wife wanted all my effort put into her and her low plebeian selfish desires, the artless philistine manipulatrix. Who would think that getting her way and my assets and even my work as unpaid slave for more than six years was alright and my dedication to my work on music was a deplorable egotism and mistake? 

I listened on a stereo TV tuned to Stingray, the patch was Classic Rock. I was amazed at the depth and clarity of sound that the re-mastered performances were reproduced with layers of nuance and movements I had not heard before. Queen was particularly amazingly complex and had low volume background symphonic and harmonic and counterpoint embellishments I had not heard before.

Freddy Mercury was not a family man. I was actually supporting a family in addition to my musical efforts and it is not clever or cool or sternly just to interfere with me and my projects and work. My pussy whipped little brother Andrew said " Who wants their brother prancing around on stage playing harmonica?" Mental illness must be responsible that nonsense. 

He and my mother decided that I should not be informed when documents were sent to me at my parent's address. Andrew, with Francine, La Grosse Fromage, running his life and mind decided with my mother that I should not get my uncle Albert's will because if I knew I WAS INHERITING HIS HOUSE and his MILLION BUCKS, I would "not try hard enough". I did not get a cent of that money. My brother's Franco Fascist Francine did not want to have to happen in "her new family"what happened in her old family, her real family, where her older brother inherited and was educated et al. Her new family:she was not even an in-law, no Rugenuis was in any way family with her. Francine Dagenais did not even take the Collard family name when she got married. She phone book listed my brother Andrew Collard Contractor, as Andrew Dagenais, her family name but the money was different. She wanted control into the Collard and Rugenuis  family assets, Rugenuis money coming from my Uncle Albert and my Aunt Annette. The married into the family women got together with my absolutely hateful child abuser mother and they worked at stealing inheritance money full time. When I was forced to pay debts and interest on money which only my father earned, loaned over my objection for my ex-wife's business, are not all of the persons involved Indictable Criminals, that is extortion. 

WHAT IS REALLY HORRIBLE IS THAT AS MY EX-WIFE SAID "TARGET HIS MUSIC THAT ALL HE CARES ABOUT". OHH, I LOVED THE MUSIC MORE. OF COURSE I DID. I WAS NOT TRANSPORTED FROM THIS WORLD FOR MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES BY SEX BUT MUSIC GOES ON AND ON AND GETS BETTER AND BETTER. MAYBE IF THE WIFE PUT A SIMILAR EFFORT INTO THE MARRIAGE AS I PUT INTO THE MARRIAGE, INSTEAD OF  JUST GLEEPING MONEY AND BEING DIFFICULT, UNCOOPERATIVE AND DEMANDING, WELL MAYBE MARRIAGE MIGHT BE MORE LOVEABLE AND THE WIFE AS WELL.

 

Not so Swift LRC 2018

Taylor Swift is screened on CNN dancing in a stilted non rythmatic manner that re-enforces the prejudice that white men cannot dance. Is there a counter balancing expression "but white women can dance"? 

    I would say from the look on this woman's face that she does not really enjoy dancing.                         

The stiff uncomfortable posturing by Swift in a blue dress (significant?) at the lege accomplished by the running around on stage and sticking the head at the audience which I have always been critical of. The United States House of Representatives or The Senate is the scene of the video. 

The vocal and band recordings are the usual Taylor Swift Pap, yes it makes a lot of money but I still think it is lame, lame, lame.

THAT IS NOT THE WORST PART OF THE VIDEO WHICH IS THE VULGAR WEAK CLUMSY DANCING WHERE TAYLOR SPREADS HER LEGS WIDE AND DOES SPASTIC PELVIC THRUSTS. TAYLOR SWIFT IS NOT THE ONLY PRACTICIONER OF THE MORE OBSCENE THAN SENSUAL CHOREOGRAPHY I THINK SHE THINKS IT IS SEXY.

DO NOT UNDERSTAND BUT VIEW AND ENJOY WHATEVER THE KINKY GIRL REPRESENTED ON THE HUGE SCREEN BEHIND KANYE AND HIS SIDEMAN. I WILL HAVE TO WATCH IT AGAIN AT LEAST ONCE MORE CONCENTRATING ON GIANT KINKY GIRL TO SEE IF I CAN FIGURE OUT A THEME OR PLOT OR NOT, RIGHT, IT COULD BE A MEANINGLESS EXPRESSION OF A SINGLE THOUGHT AT LENGTH..........

The dancing girl video is great video better shaking of the boobs than Marilyn Monroe. The music is sparse and weak and totally pre recorded including some vocals but I do not really care to figure out what and where. The translucently vested dancing girl from dreams of perfection one wished one had is so beautiful and moves so well I wonder what Kardashian Family Frictions will arise. 

The first time I viewed the SNL episode I missed the ensemble finale where Kanye West sang really well. Kanye either directed and choreographed or accepted direction perfectly executed check some of the dance moves at the beginning of the Kinky Girl Drink Bottle Song and Dance. 

The Saturday Night Live Band played some unusual Funk and some of the ensemble players sang in perfect pitch and connotative voice modulation. Some of the skits                            were really funny again, where a few years                                  back I found the formula skits boring.

                                                                      

                                                                     

LIVE ROCK, WHY?

LIVE ROCK CRITIC 2018                                                                                                       I did critically view Kanye West on Saturday Night Live Saturday.       I do not quite know what to think about the Drink Bottle Dance and musical performance. I may have gotten a skit although I thought it was Kanye. I have it recorded on DVR and I will view it again. The second number I thought was weak. He uttered some form of atrocity about slavery after he performed. 

I was considering what I would say motivated me to attempt to perform and to compose and to be able to produce popular music. I think I might have been motivated by my desire to propagate my thoughts and discoveries and political and social theories as one would write in a newspaper or in novels or non-fiction books, at one time nearly the only way that this was possible. Movies were a step above books because they could penetrate a greater audience and boldly present their vision.

Records of the type which might affect a wide audience became influential and Live Performance was possibly the extension of records into a realism and power which even movies have only recently attained. I became aware that the most effective attainable medium would be Live Performance. That was at a time decades ago when Live Performance was both commonplace in bars, dance clubs, dances and even at parties and Surreal, Otherworldly, and Mindblowing at the most excellent public performances in theaters, stadiums and at outdoor concerts.

I thought about how to communicate original thoughts discoveries and theories and how to blow them up huge as cartoons and performances of my observations, commentary and didaction. I had also been pursing material to write about in the past, musical circles seemed to be a likely source. I could thus play some harmonica, I began to really practice harmonica again and I danced and rollerbladed to be as fit and rhythmic as possible. I did the practice blitz more than once in the past using exclusively Hohner Diatonic Harmonicas. I thought that if I joined a successful band I could make a living and vigorously pursue the proliferation of my ideas and discoveries. 

Reduced to posting on the inter net hoping to get noticed. Vote the video above does proliferate a number of ideas.

I  think the recording was probably just good fortune, but the execution of the musical score on sequenced twin Kurzwiel Variable Architecture Synthesisers and the Les Paul Black Beauty was no accident. The musical score was carefully contrived, recorded, listened to and corrected in a hundred rehearsal sessions before it was recorded live in the air of the recital room pictured in my live music videos. The Kurzwiels played through four amplifiers configured quadraphonically and Leslie Paul had twin Marshal Cabinets and separately effected heads.  THE VOCAL IS ME SINGING LIVE.

 I have always had a desire to create something really mindblowing. A great Book I thought back in post WWII Canada. I was right there on the cusp as a teenager and at earlier ages, there was new but the old, the very very old world of pre War Society and buildings and roads and canals and bridges was right there. A trip on a bicycle in 1958 down St Patrick Boulevard beside the Lachine canal with the factories and docks and ship lifting locks was right out of Victorian England. I may be one of the few who felt the presence of the past and heard the sounds of industry and ships and trains, or perhaps many people felt the vibe down by the ship canal.

I had wanted to write so I joined in as I could in Trips, including the Music Trip, to write. I found myself writing extemporaneously live with any form of  composing or performing event I could participate in. I  had many Sunday Space Jams at my Richmond and Delta BC acreages with at the last one in Delta, an incredible huge tall 50 foot by 50 foot recital hall with a three story atrium as part of it. The Burr House was still in Deas Island Park, the last I knew of it, moved there in the 90` from the seven Acre Burr Estate where Raymond Burr , Perry Mason,  lived as a child at some point before I got the place in 1974. 

I had in conversation mentioned how my back was wrecked and it had been a tragedy for me creatively and musically since the first house at Otter Point Road was burnt with my musical instruments and tapes among many more things. I had spent at least five years working to get the house and possessions to raise the family my ex-wife was adamant about having. The house itself had to be finished, that took eight months. 

Believe me, I had to concentrate on other than music most of the time mostly and all of the time some of the time,  for instance as I finished the first Otter Point House. I said that since I lost all my possessions at that point life had never been the same. I stated that I could not believe that I was further exploited and extorted and ripped off as well after all I had had been lost. I said that I think that I would have lived a different life and I would have succeeded at music had not so many negative interventions been created. 

Every time I would be dispossessed or forced to pay extortion I would have to work at menial back breaking tasks and my art and writing and composing and performing would be curtailed. The back breaking work and accident injury and being caused to collapse use up more of my time until I am totally stalled and it is hard to start up again and very hard when I cannot stand.

Somehow I managed to write a couple of thousand innovative pieces of music and songs and musical scores for animations and cartoons. I  think most of those who I know who scoff at my efforts could  not have even kept the acreage and home together, debt free.  After 2000 I invested the last third of my inheritances, the first two thirds stolen. I had $750K as down payments and the houses and apartment building I bought are now probably Six Million Dollars of Victoria Real Estate which I do diminish not, the rental income strictly pays the principal off. One Million Dollars to pay still. I would have done well with my inheritances and been able to concentrate on my Art,Writing, Composing, Performing and Videography.

I maintain that if I had not been burned out and twice more impoverished and certainly had I kept the first two thirds of my inherited money which was stolen starting in 1964 I would have made as much money as David Bowie or at least $500 million and I plan to sue anyone who had apart in any of the destruction.

LIVE ROCK CRITIC IN 2018 : COOL SOUNDS

                    THE MUSICIAN AND THE COMPOSER             CREATE COOL SOUNDS 

What is a Cool sound? It is an intriguing sound, an evocative sound, or a sound that takes you away from the ordinary. There is the overall transmission of sound, from near, from far, ricocheting through passages or wistfully distant in the open spaces or clear and bold loudly dominating the  senses. Cool sounds are those which bring to mind such as passing trains or planes or the sounds of parades and sirens moving and shifting and  dopplering . Cool sounds morph. Cool sounds sound cool or torridly hot, serene or hysterical, calm or frenetic.  Cool sounds will transport your mind. 

There was a time when I pursued cool sounds. Today the array of digital effects, samples and sequencers makes the creation of cool sounds reliable and easy compared to using room acoustics  and feedback although those and other analog real room sound modifications have their charm. What would that charm be?  It is very cool to create that certain note and turn the guitar towards the speakers it is amplified through and hear and feel the resonance as the guitar strings sympathetically vibrate in unison or dissonance or even counterpoint with the amplifier output.   You can feel it in your fingers, you can feel it in your toes, you can feel it in your brain vibrating. You can hear it directly and echoing and vibrating walls and glass everywhere in the room.

LIVE ROCK CRITIC POSTED FOR A FEW YEARS SEVEN YEARS AGO.
The first couple of dozen are the most detailed and earnest reviews and the last few reflect my lack of enthusiasm about the bands and the reviewing and how things slowly wind down..
Reviews on every subject including musical performance are everywhere now unlike in 2009...
I would like to point to a new body of Work or Art  but I have been limited in my physical mobility for some time to the degree that routine tasks exhaust my energy leaving little but the hour or so of music practice and writing tunes . I have been doing a bit of Poster Art, some is animated on YouTube Drunkycocamovision Channel and Collard Creations Channel.

Sequencing Compositions on Keyboards

 The use of sequenced compositions : Save your best creations !

I recommend the digital keyboard as always in tune, multi use - from drums to violins  from organ to howls hoots and electronic morphing sounds.  Play away til you hear something really cool and sequence it. Take it from there, changing instrument layers and sounds and play  with it. More elaborate multi part and multi layer composition sequences are possible on many keyboards. 

Keyboards can be linked by midi cords and they can be played in my own equipment's case while reprising a sequenced file. Multiple keyboards can play together in their own sound samples or those of the performing keyboard.

For my own composing and playing I find the retention of tunes from years gone by useful and enjoyable. I have been able to play some harmonica, mostly  " F " harps with low air and suction requirements. Tonight I had played guitar and sung for about forty minutes accompanying sequenced compositions. The sequenced tunes have lyric page notes to identify patches and effects, what instruments, modified how? The information is written  on the lyric performance page. Nice big printed letters allow the lyrics to be read at a glance.  My keyboards save sequenced materials and multi timbral sounds and samples with midi files on an enclosed disc.  Store discs in anti RDF,  metal cookie tins work. Label carefully, make a second copy and individually place all discs in guitar string envelopes to avoid physical damage or wear. Many compositions can be saved on a single disc. List all the compositions on the disc label.

The trend is to have shorter tunes these days. That works well for flashy instruments like harmonica. The sequenced compositions should have one's strongest steadiest performances duplicated press for press and dwell and velocity, depth and force. Accompanying with short performances augmenting or soloing makes it easier to be forceful, accurate and timed right. Do the same with other instruments, a short forceful accurate timely and tuneful solo or augmentation is easier to do well and makes songs shorter. Songs or compositions can be replayed easily by listeners. Most of the longer songs of years ago were repetitive as that was how listeners could re-experience the tune.

Some alleged purists depreciate performances through sequencing as "records", they are not. I thought of my sequenced linked twin Kurzweils as my " Robot Choir " playing and singing with them.  I wrote the tune, programmed the sounds and did the one perfect go round necessary to have the tune played over and over in whatever instruments which are required.

Mea Culapsed

                           I have failed to post significantly for two years.

I have a disability caused by injury which "freezes" the muscles or micro fascia. To me it feels like a collapse and I remain collapsed for months or years. Freeze is the term used to describe Tonic Immobility in a number of dissertations. Virtual Paralysis is how I described the long term result.

I had been playing the Roland Guitar Synth GR 707 with sequenced twin Kurzweils and at first the Gibson Les Paul seemed like a piece of dead wood by comparison. Both guitars sound through a pair of Marshal 4x12's one Marshall and one Musicman head. I got my Big Muff and Electric Mistress, Musitonics and a Bose Super Phaser hooked up and dialed in and oh bliss. 

There is a body of works on the restorative effect of music and dance and other activities. I had worked my way from laying on my back to play harmonica, I am not exaggerating, to dancing with great fluidity and fair endurance between harmonica leads. I went from scooting about on a typist chair to rollerblading 15 kilometers. The activities are smooth and rhythmic. Locked up muscles and joints are pushed and pulled and stretched into flexibility. Sustained and repeated the activities create more and more flexibility and strength dancing, performing or rollerblading.

The same relief and rehabilitation are accessible through many different methods. I stroked and glissaded along the Les|Paul fret board with pick and bars and finger bends. I had hardly been able to stand for a minute and I lifted and swung and fed back the guitar and held it high over my head. 

There is a hogwash mantra about weightlifting and suffering from exercise. I had terrible exercises prescribed to me at Summit Physiotherapy  which definitely did not help with Tonic Immobility and I think hurt me slowing recovery and re-damaging delicate recently healed joints and muscles.

I have lost and not regained my motivation to review and  criticize. What is the wrong kind of criticism:

                                      Criticism must be justifiable and detailed.

I have tried in my Live Rock Critic to be honest, exact and to make observations directly connected to aspects of the performance I reviewed.  Criticism must be rational and focused.

More important, most directly connected to the details of behavior and the results of that behavior are my Political Satire Cartoons and Characters.  

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO EXPOSE IRRATIONALITY

When I write a LRC I am attempting to discredit performance which is not well done or not well composed or which is  false, invalid or faked through backing tapes or sequencing or other device. Lip synching  for sure and Auto Tune I don't know. 

 If I were to criticize another obscure or developing musician, I would try to say nothing or try to be helpful in some manner. It is gauche to trash and trash the unsuccessful. The alleged greats of the music industry, the highly touted are fair game for a wider range of criticism, and sarcasm and humor.

  Political criticism is different, certainly, the low level politician must be vigorously criticized, no quarter can be permitted. The criticism must be accurate, the criticism must be fair and rational alternatives must be presented not inoperable theories or unjust or capricious plans.

 This could also apply to music or art projects.  I keep a cartoon character type blogger and Drunkycocamovision You Tube Channel operator. Drunkycocamovision: The Blog featured the Arrival Of Trump in Victoria BC on Father's day. I told CC how easy it had been for DC to photograph Trump Plane, US1? and put it on his blog.   TO HELL WITH TRUMP AND THE TRUMPLIKE : BACK TO THE PAST:  

                  I am diverging from the posted purpose of this blog, to review and criticize.         

I remember attending a few garage band sessions in Kitsilano Vancouver in the late sixties. There were musicians who later ran the band Prism and the most successful Lavin's blues bands and many other Vancouver rock bands. I played harmonica through fairly large amps til I got my 1951 Fender Super Amp and added a Hammond reverb and a Fender Princeton with a huge air mounted bass speaker in it. I had begun to play guitar in 1966, so as to be able to play at parties. Later I began to play harmonica again, I had my uncle Connie's chromatic Hohners when I was four or five years old, he was dead, WW II. I had aspirations to write. I saw the musicians and the bands as far more interesting prospective writing material than ordinary life, I took up harmonica so as to be able to join and play with Rock and Roll bands and have something interesting to write about. Specialized musical skills are required to accomplish this goal. 

I was able to run around Vancouver and for a short time London England performing the original music and arrangements of Rock and Roll bands by approaching them before they performed demonstrating my harmonica skills and getting to perform with them.  No David old friend and worshiper of Tony and the really crappy Vaqueros, oops quiet now Lindon .  Dave Sundquist called harmonica performances  "playing along", he thought the locked in never varying repetition or rote learned riffs was the real skill in music. Like hell, it starts when Tony boy could not jam with the pros at my Surrey music room, I overheard the first group of musicians say, " How does  Lindon completely change those riffs to a new tune with harmonica?" Tony could never even " play along", he was one of the only jam session (Yale for one) hosts who could not fucking jam at all. Perhaps he learned how to by the time he hosted the Blue Grotto in Kamloops  but I never heard or saw that happen. ( I organized the Space Jams, 1972 to  1978,  at first just reprise jams, but eventually original music live writing sessions at the shack on the farm in Richmond BC, and another egg carton lined shack in Surrey. !974 I moved to Crescent Island, River Road, the last and best years. The all wood living room, dining room, drawing room and the atrium opened up with pocket doors, designed to hold balls, home of the Space Jam, Sundays at the Burr Mansion, now moved to Deas Island Park in Ladner BC.)

 The pros told me a lot, including:  Standing outside Long & a successful musician tells me as he gets  into his corvette convertible, "When you get to the recording studio you better be able to jam, the producer will change everything, even jump in with instruments he plays, your songs will change." It is not great to play the fluid sound bed of blues, almost nowhere to go.  I  replaced the likes of bass, drums, rhythm, with a robot Kurzweil midi filer. I created a multitude of Robot Choir back up fluid sound beds with, never make a mistake, rote musician box. The twin Kurzweils have less brain than a modern toaster, completely require someone else to be creative , original, but can they ever repeat the songs they are trained to play, like clockwork. ( Do you know that the Roland GR series synthesiser guitars I play, can send midi signals to the Midi Filer operated Kurzweils and modify aspects of their rote performance including adding drum rolls and comping variation.)

 Dave, not just playing along, I could exercise the same control as the Roland Synth Guitar has over Keyboards over any band I was playing with. Tony described this on one of the only occasions when I played with one of his bands,(The Lamplighter, Vancouver) as: Fighting for his life on stage as I latched on to the second guitar player vocalist and as the vocalist rhythm guitar described took the band off into outer space. I have never got to do that before he said, of course not under band leader Tony Robertson.

 I brought the band right back home to the root of the tune when I was done.  This is what I did, interesting, transporting, extemporization with soaring leads and smoothly delivered to the vocalist when done, right in the groove.   I was hoping to create a music career for myself that was original, exciting and made money. Always practiced , with perfectly functioning harmonicas and amplifiers, I was dressed in silk shirts and proper matching pants and shoes, I did an hour dance practice nearly every day. I could handle the big PA systems as well.  I was trying to show how well I could play and dance.  In London at the Hundred Club on Oxford St.,  up in Camden somewhere,  at The Roadhouse, at The Swan on Fullham Broadway, at The Wag in Soho.  I played with Irish Bands at Mollys , one of the Irish Rovers said, here in Victoria, You have played at Mollys! I argued politics there with an IRA spokesman as my friendly opponent, I thought blowing up tube stations was an irrational attack on the infrastructure of the proletariat. London Transport  at Charing Cross and Oxford Tube Station was blown up that week.  

 I  had to fly out of London, ex-wife and police created emergency. Charlie Watts had invited me to come and play with his jazz band at the Jazz Club in London,  yeah, sure, play along.   

 

How did I disappear from the music scene, I flew back to BC because I was phoned in England, your ex-wife has RCMP, CRD animal control,  Bailiffs and the crazy cop Officer Mohammed at your house trying to seize it and take the animals away. I am all over the internet with blogs and cartoons about this. The Police, bailiffs and sheriffs were driven off by a couple of Pender Island girls. I have to pay taxes to support all of those parasites, but when it comes to my support requirements the authorities criminally hamper me.  (CC Canada) RCMP contacted police in several cities as revenge! US immigration was told that I was a suspicious and dangerous un-convicted criminal, Collard must be charged. ( Yes, so they can criminally forensically psychiatric hold me for two months and seize my house, sell off my musical equipment . They held me five days once, never guilty but have to be stopped.) The Police are so ridiculous: One of them said as they raided my rural home, what do you do, you just go crazy and playÉ.Then that becomes crazy to them and they start hunting you everywhere.   I would collapse and throw up from fear of being jailed as I attempted to leave here,  I stopped driving to Victoria or Vancouver, certainly did not leave the country again, I have stayed alone on my rural acreage alone just about ever since. 

My latest efforts are on Youtube. There are a couple of pages of how to access my work, Lindon Collard.com gets my website up. The accessing of video by phone has placed a data charge in the way of free viewing, wi-fi can be free, computers access material for no additional cost. Youtube now links material so that one cannot click on a video and be in the channel exclusively, this has interfered with multiple access when in a channel, I will reconfigure my website if possible so all videos in a channel can be directly accessed, I hope.

I am being criticized for defending myself against moronic critics who have no respect for the living artist, myself.

My original work was criticized in a ridiculous manner which has no substance but was  just plain nihlistic rejection and anecdotes of how little other alleged viewers thought of my work.  Piffle.

There is more substance to the rejection of the original artist by the musicians who had work in the cities where I sought to create a career for myself.  I could not travel by van from one bar to the next,  I would have to be a member of a band which was original and capable of performing in the desirable venues available to the more capable musicians. 

The catch to this plan is that to have credibility one must be literally``famous`` in one's home city.     I would need to form or join a band and work my way up in the local venues to gain credibility.         The problem would then be supporting the band financially by working locally. The gigs in most of the venues were occupied by zealously schmoozing cover bands. People drank more to old blues songs, was the adage among bar owners.  I did try to overcome these difficulties, I tried to become known on my own. I learned to perform new material instantly, live, to be ready if the opportunity arose to work at music by forming or joining a band. I have recorded everything written, composed and performed by myself for decades. When the internet made self publishing possible I wrote and composed and performed, recorded, video taped and DVR'd and posted music videos, cartoons and animated political satire and social satire, sometimes set to music.

I resent being unfavorably compared with lousy material done badly by the same bar bandies I have complained about. I do not venerate old , traditional or dead. I could not give a damn about the anything of the dead. I absolutely refuse to fail to defend myself just because the stick I am being beaten with is dead. 

Tony Robertson was a big help in 1990, he reminded me that I played harmonica when I had severe head injury and a complete mix-up of all memories. I think that I have developed creatively and that the music and the videos and the political satire cartoons are a further evolution on the writing sessions and the original music played at the "Space Jam" I hosted on my farm in Richmond or in the Burr House in Delta. We learned a lot of brand new fresh riffs every Sunday.     

A vibrant creative music scene could still flourish with new material performed at live venues, music unavailable elsewhere.  Internet Publishing of live original music from venues might be the thing, but not old blues songs ! Perhaps there is still an original music scene in some cities, maybe even in Vancouver and I am unaware.                      Respect the living composer!                                                                                             Lindon Collard                                              Live Rock Critic

                    Live Rock Critic 52: I respond to my critics:

Much more critical than I am of ...well , virtually everyone , are those who trash, dismiss and dishonor my efforts to write, compose, perform, record , video, and publish my work.

I perform live and even record live, using the Stax Studio system which is to put all effects on the instruments, amps and voices and to balance sound using VU and Decibel meters and to then record in stereo using best possible gear. I recorded literally thousands of performances using a Sony HX Pro on new studio quality tape. I find the quality good and useable with Alesis Tapelink.

 When I started making video live, I was faced with the single microphone fake 5.1 or stereo which provided fast, synced but low quality sound. I tried numerous methods, H4N Zoom for instance, to add better sound but I had difficulty. Last night I was excited to use my new stereo & movie camera the Sony MV 1, inexpensive but supposed to work but the SD card was incompatible. The Sony MV 1 is supposed to wi fi to my computer, I hope it works.  I have a new RolandGR707 and sequenced Kurzweils version of "Hillbilli", "Marijuanaville" theme which I am desiring to film .

I have tried to produce video of many types since about 1992. Most of my youtube is '08 to '12 when I made a concentrated effort to publish my work. I had a friend,Tony Robertson, who would at times have writing sessions with me, Vaqueros lead hand and mc at some jams and played with Sue Medley, great going for a graduate of a Blues Music School.{ I originally posted without Tony toured Europe with "Long John Baldry".    My girlfriend who knew the lyrics to all songs. Karioke girl, had some appreciation of my musical ability from having heard my harmonica with a live band. I took her to see Baldry and Robertson and after that she had a less dynamic idea of musicians I knew and me. She thought the performance was old and lame. She dumped me not long after. I never did like Baldry, I attended because Tony told me he was in town. }

    I received a call from one of my oldest friends where he maintained that Tony Robertson videos were applauded but people he showed my videos to `Laughed at me`. I nervously checked my Lindon Collard.com website. Everything was in order, I clicked on music videos and there was Darling Space Girl and 6 more animated shorts. Check them out, on a computer, so data on the phone is not a cost issue, the data cost per second factor has damaged the posting of videos.   Scroll down to my live performance videos, all performances filmed live with sequenced basic song platform of Bass, Drums and Keys. The two Kurzweils will also do real sampled winds, strings and horns. Laughed at or other blanket dismissals, I simply cannot accept that type of criticism. I hope my blog has accurately criticized.

I will not air my views at this time. I am guilty of railing and raving about weak vocals and off pitch vocals and lack of stage presence. No I will not go there. Three doors down guitar player San Fransisco sound Quick Silver Messenger service guitar. Really good. I am surprised that I have never seen or heard of them.

The Donald is standing with Melania and it looks like hes going to sing. No. First Trump is going to dance to some horrible schmaltzy orchestral arrangement.  Clutching Melaniaès back for balance Trump jerked and wobbled back and forth on his tiny unstable feet. His  huge girth balanced as if on a pin he weaved and paced to a rhythm which defied the music.             

Donald yakked at Melania fawningly making gloating faces.  Fawning over himself of course. He points in an arc at the audience as if to magnanimously include them in the attention. Melanias facial expression and body language are those of someone dancing with a giant turd.

                                          

I think I see Trump telling Melania to smile. Trump mouths praise and waves and thumbs ups. His giant belly wobbles as he effeminately hand dances.                

From inside her snuggli  inspired fashion outfit Melania looks disapproving, is DT singing.  

Live Rock Critic back to life like Trump: A bloated corpse drowned in swamp water. Puffed to bursting. Corpulently engorged and dressed up and trotted out and ran for President of the United States and won. Here I am again too.
