COULD LAUREL CANYON HAVE SURVIVED IN CANADA?

MY HOUSE ON CRESCENT ISLAND HAD A NAME WHICH I FOUND OUT JUST NOW " BURRVILLA".

What a cool name Laurel Canyon Canada would have had, had it happened.

This is a picture of the Burr House on Crescent Island before I had it in the mid 1970`s.

When I had it it was still on Crescent Island with a nice 7 acre woodland grown up in front of it.

It was not nearly as nice as Laurel Canyon but the South FRASER  RIVER was out front and you could be back in downtown Vancouver in twenty minutes or walk on the dikes and the sandbars all the way to Steveston but on a different tree covered sandbar with an old fish shack road on it.

I WAS THERE A LOT, RECOVERING FROM BEING VIRTUALLY PARALYZED. MUSICIANS WOULD DROP BY.  SUNDAYS I WOULD ARRANGE TO HAVE ENOUGH MUSICIANS TO COME OUT WHEN I WAS ABLE TO HOST THE SPACE JAM. MY HOUSE WAS GIVEN TO ANTIQUE DEALER AND FAKER LANG FOR ONE DOLLAR ENDING MYSELF AND ALL OF MY MUSICAL CONNECTIVITY IN LATE 1978.

I moved to Otter Point to the cheapest ten acre lot and house I could find which was not too far from the cities of Victoria and Vancouver and had to finish it myself. I thought I was going to ride my Black Combat Norton Commando with the metal seven gallon tank, a beautiful motorcycle to Vancouver which was a $2 Ferry fare and $4 for me,to continue my Music and Art Connectivity.

Opposition was present here on the ground, the Otter Point Redneck Mafia stole and burnt everything I had: jewelery inventory and factory and 144 Hohner Harmonicas (they wear out fast when played hard) my 1951 Fender Super Amp and my keyboard Amp, my Church Organ, 1949 Kalamazoo Slide Guitar and its Amplifier and the fabulous 1957 Fender Jazzmaster, Green Metal Flake with Abalone  Inlay on the Maple on Mahogany neck with a real Tortise Shell pick guard. The end of a plan to head back to Vancouver and start an Original Band.

I was possessionless and homeless with only a fire insurance claim instead of, well, everything.

Married for only 22 months my ex-wife got together with Lawhores and she would get nothing but I would lose everything to legal fees and she and the lawhores of course did not care if we ended up homeless and that was just the beginning of having to be ruled by a Crazy Woman again.

If the house at Otter Point would have been in a culture like that of Laurel Canyon, it is worse in Canada with more up Redneck Artist Haters and the really badly Criminally Insane RCMP.

The local Police here consider music practice to not be work but some deliberate attempt to offend and annoy the neighbors and say   'WE ARE GOING TO PUT AN END TO THE FUN HERE " and we don*t care sbout your music career which means they (POLICE) do care.

Sooke RCMP contacted US Authorities and Criminally Insane hamperer Champagne said " Now he will not be able to perform in the States ( or United States )."

My wife says  Hès crazy, he thinks he is going to be a Rock Star. My brother Andrew said who wants their brother prancing around on Stage playing harmonica and Mother said if she ever heard of my even speaking of playing harmonica she would take my Father's money from me.

In the Spirit of Ignorance and Envy my brother Andrew said:

" You have too much Hubris, the Gods will punish you ."         

Then he did punish me as if he was a God, the signature act of a person who was demonstrating Hubris is to think that they are Gods.

Mother had already taken all of my own and inherited money three times. All of it. My brother and my sister and my wife and my mother ripped me off and a large part of the motivation was to stop my doing music. They hated it and me.

Police never hesitated to try to jail and fine and dispossess me and so many people took a crack at finally being able to get me for something that I have Shell Shock or Tonic Immobility or Collapse Immobility or Swayback. I feel like I have turned to water and flow right down to the ground and I remain Virtually Paralyzed. THEY  DID NOT SUCCED IN GETTING ME AND MY HOUSE BUT THEY SURE AS HELL MADE SURE NO FORM OF LAUREL CANYON WOULD HAPPEN HERE AND THEY ALERTED AND MOTIVATED POLICE SO I COULD NOT GO TO ANY LAUREL CANYON ANYWHERE ELSE.

I had inherited literally Millions which the relatives stole which would have finaced a limited form of Laurel Canyon. It does make me wonder:

Would Laurel Canyon have been able to survive in Canada with our worse than in the USA Police and Family Bigots, Haters, Thieves and Psychotic Sociopaths.

CARNIVAL SIDESHOW ECONOMY

SELFISH AND FRIVILOUS THE PRECEPTS OF CAPITALISM CREATE UNNECESSARY DOWNTURNS

In a manner like to having a grifter's attraction in a travelling carney convoy the previously functioning economy caused citizens to be involved in an uncertain uncaring financial game where the necessities of life could vanish at any time.

There are innumerable ways where individuals would have nothing left to provide themselves with the necessities of life because they made imprudent decisions or because they were the victims of criminal exploitation. 

Decouple the selfish and frivilous Carney Economy from the Real Commonwealth Economy which provides the necessities of life. 

Run the Real Commonwealth Economy on a Universal Provision of the Necessities of Life basis while Gambling Dens and Hair Salons and Porche Dealerships would participate in a traditional digital metering monetary system.

If you did not have any marbles to play with you might not be able to play Black Jack or Porche but you could never end up homeless or starving.

At this present time when in the Pandemic Emergency funds are being handed out people do not want to take jobs. That is because it is an "either -  or" situation; funding should be universal for the necessities of life or ideally those necessities would be distributed in a manner which was not part of a selfish and frivilous non-necessity monetary system.

The Real Commonweath Economy would provide an incentive to earn a little to be able to peuchase non necessities or to earn a lot to play Black Jack or Porche because every bit of anything earned would be on top of the necessities of life support and distribution; every bit of everything earned would be extra.

PEOPLE ARE BEING DAMAGED BY WORRY AND UNCERTAINTY AS THEIR NECESSITIES OF LIFE ARE THREATENED BY THE IMPENDING DOOM OF ECONOMIC COLLAPSE, UNEMPLOYMENT AND GOVERNMENT DEFICITS AND GOVERNMENT DEBT.

DECOUPLE THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE NECESSITIES OF LIFE FROM THE SELFISH AND FRIVILOUS GAMBLING, SHILLING AND GRIFTING.

POSTSCRIPT: MANY PEOPLE ARE MOTIVATED TO WORK DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT PAID TO DO THAT WORK. ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS AND PEOPLE WHO CREATE AN EXTRAORDINARY GARDEN AT THEIR HOMES ARE NOT PAID, WORKING TO INCREASE PROPERTY VALUE OR BE ROCK STARS, PERHAPS, BUT NOT LIKELY.

WITH ALL OF YOUR NECESSITIES OF LIFE ASSURED WHAT ABOUT PITCHING IN WITH YOUR SKILLS TO AID THE COMMONWEALTH ECONOMY NECESSITIES OF LIFE FOR ALL PEOPLE? WOULD THAT NOT BE GOOD.

I PROPOSE HONOR AND DIGNITY AND FREEDOM FROM FEAR BE GRANTED TO EVERY PERSON AND I HOPE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO RISE TO THAT LEVEL.

ALL OF THESE RETIRED BRITISH PHYSICIANS ARE WORKING AT A FREE CLINIC FOR FREE AND THEY DO NOT HAVE TO WORK BUT DO

MY CULTURE WAS NOT TREATED WITH RESPECT

THE REVERENCE FOR THE REMNANTS OF NATIVE CULTURE IS IN STARK CONTRAST WITH THE LACK OF RESPECT FOR CONTEMPORARY NATIVES AND FOR MY MODERN CULTURE AND ITS ART WRITING AND MUSIC.

When an ancient burial site is unearthed as modern citizens work for their livelihood, everything must stop to preserve the cultural remains of a long gone society and citizens.

When the same authorities and government and its servants encounter contemporary culture such as my Art, Writing and Music they feel they should attack and limit and make dangerous and TRY TO EXPUNGE MY CULTURE.

THIS IS NOT JUST A MORAL AND ETHICAL OUTRAGE. THE BEHAVOIR IS NOTHING LESS THAN A CRIMINAL OFFENCE. IT OCCURS TO ME THAT THE SAME BODY OF LAW THAT PROTECTS THE CULTURE OF LONG DEAD NATIVES MUST OFFER EVEN MORE PROTECTION TO MY LIVING ART, WRITING ANG MUSIC. 

ALICA KEYS

ENABLED BY CNN, ALICA KEYS ENGAGED IN A MEDIOCRE POLITICALLY CORRECT PANDERING, GETTING IN ON THE PUBLIC ATTENTION TO COVID 19.

Besides the Opportunism and Pandering, the monotonous cadence of the music bespeaks a lack of inspiration and lack of care, tapping out a metronome beat.

I was struck by the profound lack of vocal range exhibited and still, despite the lack of range or any attempt at vocal theatrics or pyrometrics, Alica Keys voice cracked.

I would ask anybody who will or did see the performance, likely it will be played and replayed, featured and slices will be spotted, is this actually not really singing, or just a form of singingish speech like the Talking Blues or Rap?

LOVE THE SOUND

OF YOUR OWN VOICE, IS THAT NOT WHAT IT IS?

Chris Martin from Coldplay is right into the sound of his voice and grimace.

Saturday Night Live hosted Coldplay. The band is shut down to a muted 1910 Fruitgum Company tinkle. Pectoralz originally, Chris displays pecs and arms.

Oh My Lord does he ever get emotionally into his acting as he vocalizes. Do I remember correctly that Chris originally thought of fronting a band as an actor.

I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT JAN ARDEN WAS TERRIBLE, VIRTUALLY WITHOUT ANY REDEEMING QUALITY IN GENRE, PERFORMANCE OR APPEARANCE

I have written and spoken about how hard it is to do a quality recording or video without the expensive equipment and technicians. That has changed lately it seems as I phones are used to create credible sound and video recordings.

The working from a bare bones studio setup requires a good and mistake free performance and you have to get the pitch and cadewhich nce and vocal range right.

Jan Arden has a YouTube performance with the Vocal not on key and there is an audible straining as she attempts to pitch together with the music which is also no particular Bowl of Cherries.

Jan Arden was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently which makes me very dubious about how this happens.

SHAKIRA AT THE SUPERBOWL

I WILL NOT POST ANY PICTURES, GOOGLE SHAKIRA   AT THE SUPERBOWL LIV HALFTIME SHOW IN 2020.

I was incredibly impressed with Shakira's dance performance. The skipping about to music does not come easily. The obvious physical conditioning was surpassed by the seemingly effortless dance moves, none of the silly running around; that woman danced every moment with grace and energy and flawless following of the changing musical rythyms, except for the pelvic thrusts.

Shakira's vocal was really good, she can sing that is for sure; I rarely say this. 

I could not find any flaw or lacking with the Bands except for the goofy Rapper. 

Amidst all of that perfection I winced at the overemphasized pelvic thrusting and squatting or whatever, I knew it would prompt some people to detract from the performance because of crass pelvic pumping. 

I panned Taylor Swift for vulgar open legged squats which were clumsy and unattractive and grosser than the Jay Lo and Shakira squats. None of the Squats really fitted in with the music and choreography. 

I found many of Shakira's and a few of Jay Lo's dance routines very attractive and feminine and sexy but that is not what really stuck with me about the performance. I have not Rollerbladed for years now but I bet the wide open dancing feels like rollerblading. It must be so cool to be able to dance like Shakira does. I am mostly critiquing Shakira`s dance, when I listen and view again I will pay more attention to the Music and the Vocals and to Jay Lo also.

The Shakira dance performance was so perfect, so strong and so accurate. I am going to watch the half time show again as entertainment, it is a different experience when you view a performance as a critic rather than as an audience.
